A photo in Valdivia...

I love photos, I’m always taking photos everywhere…  and differently to most of people I love to take pictures of myself hahah.  This topic is very difficult for me, ‘cause I have infinity of photos that I like, specially taken in some field trips of landscape and nature… are my favorite, definitive!
But this time, I don’t choose one of these I’ll choose one that I took in my city, Valdivia. I think is the most beautiful city of Chile, you can do anything you want... it’s impossible that u could bore. The picture was taken by my school friend María Paz in the Historical Museum Garden in the "Teja Island”, I think is the best view of the city, you can see the river market with the sea lions, pelicans, rowers, the submarine, the Casino and the beautiful bridge “Pedro de Valdivia”. It was taken in winter, 2010. Later we edited the photo to make it like in sepia, but without losing all colors. I don’t know how to do this, but my friend knows how to use photoshop and editing programs, ‘cause she studies Graphic Desing.
The river that appears in the picture is not the Calle-Calle river, it’s the Valdivia river. The city is characterized by the confluence of several rivers such as those just mentioned and two others called Cau-Cau River and Cruces River. I remember it rained all week and we wanted to go out and take pictures (I never tire of photographing Valdivia whenever I can) and that afternoon stopped raining and could take several photos, so we called the album "Now or never" hahah.

  2. I think that Valdivia it's one of the most beautiful cities in Chile, I'm from Santiago, but the south is definitely more beautiful than the grey capital.
